This notice explains how Ellie Nelissen, trading as Feather & Orbit (ABN 91 930 346 966), collects and handles personal information in connection with photography enquiries, creative-shoot expressions of interest, bookings and sessions.

Privacy matters to Feather & Orbit. I collect only the information I reasonably need, use it for the reason it was provided, and take particular care with information and photographs relating to children.

Information I collect

Depending on how you interact with Feather & Orbit, I may collect:

• your name, email address, phone number and preferred way to contact you
• the type of photography you are considering, approximate timing and broad location
• information you choose to share about the people involved, relationships, interests, routines or what matters to you
• session-planning information, including access, communication, comfort or safety preferences
• contracts, permissions, correspondence, invoices and payment records
• photographs and other material created during a session
• creative-shoot application information, including who may take part and why the concept feels relevant to you
• basic visit, referral and device information made available through services such as Tally, Linktree or the website

Please do not put bank account or card details, identity documents, diagnoses or detailed medical histories into an enquiry form.

Sensitive information and access needs

You do not need to disclose a diagnosis to enquire or book. If you choose to share health, disability, neurodivergence, access or other sensitive information, I will use it only where reasonably needed to make communication or the session safer and more comfortable.

Where sensitive information is requested, I will explain why it is useful and ask for consent. You can usually describe what helps without naming a diagnosis.

Children

Information about a child should be provided by, or with the involvement of, their parent or guardian. I may collect a child's first name or agreed identifier, approximate age, interests and practical session needs where this helps with planning.

Permission to photograph or publish an identifiable child is handled separately from the general enquiry process. The parent or guardian makes the formal decision. I will also explain the shoot in a way the child or teen can understand and respect a request to pause or stop.
